This screening is part of a series on psychoanalysis and cinema produced in honor of the centenary anniversary of The New York Psychoanalytic Society & Institute. The Centenary Film Series is being produced in collaboration with The New York Psychoanalytic Society and Institute and the Friends of the Brill Library. A discussion with New School professor Simon Critchley and psychoanalyst Jamieson Webster will follow the discussion.

Simon Critchley is Chair and Professor of Philosophy at The New School. He is the author of numerous works, including Infinitely Demanding and The Book of Dead Philosophers. The Faith of the Faithless and Impossible Objects will both be published in 2011.

Jamieson Webster is a psychoanalyst in New York, a post-doctoral fellow at the New York Psychoanalytic Institute, and adjunct professor at Eugene Lang College. Her first book, The Life and Death of Psychoanalysis, is forthcoming from Karnac Books this year.
